BUSAN, Feb. 7 (Korea Bizwire) – The Busan Transport Corporation has installed a touch-sensitive, see-through digital screen on a platform screen door at Seomyeon Station, Busan Metro Line 2, the first of its kind in Korea.
The screen offers weather information, subway information, and news reports, said BTC.
The installation is a part of BTC’s “smart urban railroad” project, in which Seomyeon Station is currently being used as a test bed. The station also houses four large displays – two 84-inch and two 55-inch – in the waiting area, offering similar information for public convenience.
