SEOUL, Oct. 2 (Korea Bizwire) – KT Media Hub, KT’s arm specializing in developing media content, introduced a cross-media advertising platform that is “responsive” to or linked with outdoor billboards on the streets.
This service — currently available for smartphone users with “Swingo” app (developed by Samsung) — allows users to check with latest useful sales information such as discount coupons and marketing events provided by vendors in the vicinity of the user’s standing, by swinging their smartphones directed at the nearest billboards interoperable with the service.
KT Media Hub, set to stage this location-based IoT like advertising service in partnership with Outback Steak House; Users can spot the latest marketing information to be displayed on the digital signage, located in Gangnam Station in Seoul. The company will offer steak burger coupons to users who “only” swing their smartphones in front of the “connected” signage boards.
