SEOUL, Jan. 13 (Korea Bizwire) — T Map Mobility Co., a mobility unit under telecom operator SK Telecom Co., said Wednesday that it had signed an agreement with the Seoul Trucking Association to introduce its T-map navigation service specially designed for cargo trucks.
As T-map Mobility plans to support the digitalization of South Korea’s cargo truck industry, the association agreed to cooperate in improving T-map navigation developed exclusively for cargo trucks.
The T-map navigation service for cargo trucks avoids roads that are impassable to cargo trucks due to weight limits and draws out the safest route for drivers.
The navigation provides information on popular destinations for cargo truck drivers (gas stations, service areas) as well as real-time traffic data.
