‘The Glory’ Filming Location Rised as Tourist Hotspot

SEOUL, March 20 (Korea Bizwire)The breakwater site in Gangneung, appearing in the last episode of Netflix’s new South Korean original “The Glory,” is gaining popularity as a local tourist hotspot.

In the series, characters Moon Dong-eun and Ju Yeo-jeong, who are in love with each other, decide to travel to Jumunjin port.

The two are seen leaning against a red lighthouse near the Sodol Breakwater, drinking canned beer as they reconfirmed their affection for each other.

Since the release of the episode, online communities have been sharing the scene’s location, the Sodol Breakwater, boosting Gangneung’s popularity as a tourist destination.

Screenwriter Kim Eun-sook of “The Glory” is well-known for bringing Gangneung into her scripts, as part of her efforts to promote her hometown.
