The Pink Shoes by IU

I am lost. Where can I go?

A small alleyway split into twelve ways

Where can I go to meet you again?

SEOUL, South Korea, Oct 14 (Korea Bizwire) — A girl finds a pair of pink shoes after looking for her destiny desperately.

IU has come back to us with her third album “Modern Times” featuring the title song “Between the Lips” and “The Pink Shoes.” If she created a sexy and dream-like ambience in “Between the Lips,” she shows a more mainstream side of her in this new music video teaser with fast dance moves. The video that begins with the jazzy, 1930s swing music and dance is based on a familiar fairytale of a girl forced to dance continuously, which is exactly what IU is doing in her video.

Although loosely based on the original story of Hans Christian Anderson, IU created a more upbeat storyline with the classical and vintage feel, combined with precision chorus. Produced by the famous musician Lyu Hee-yeol and appeared by rock band Peppertones, and models Hwi Hwang and Jang Ki-young, the new music video is highly stylistic. Especially, the male lead, model Jang Ki-young, plays the movie and she steps out and discovers the different colors life has to bring outside the confines of her movie.

To create the 1930s swing feel fully, the producers hired Kazuhiko Toyama, the Japanese musical composer, to come up with music scores together with Japan’s top big band members. Let’s listen to the rhythmic sound and dance moves of IU on pink shoes.
