SEOUL, May 8 (Korea Bizwire) — Toyota Korea is opening pre-orders on May 8 for its flagship Crown model, with an official launch date of June 5. The Crown is Toyota’s first mass-produced model, introduced in 1955, and has been released until the 16th generation last year.
It is a crossover model that combines a sedan and a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and will be available in two powertrain options: a 2.5L hybrid and a 2.4L dual-boost hybrid. The model features a crown emblem, hammerhead front end, and daytime running lights, and the interior includes a 12.3-inch multi-information display and a touchscreen center display.
Toyota Korea aims to offer a wide range of electrified vehicle options, and the Crown marks the second model in this direction, following the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) model.
