SEOUL, Oct.1 (Korea Bizwire) – The internet is bursting with criticism over a Chinese fan who broke into actor Cho In-sung’s home.
Ahn Woo-bin, a user of the portal site Naver, pointed out that the certain fan’s actions were way out of line, and unacceptable no matter how much she liked Cho In-sung.
‘Peek-a-boo Monkey’, another Naver user who also claims to be a fan of Cho In-sung, criticized the fan saying that “she herself has liked Cho In-sung for many years, but has never seen him in person” and suggested that the certain fan should “pull herself together and just worship him from afar”.
Some internet users pitied celebrities in Korea, who are sometimes harassed and even stalked by hardcore fans.
A user named ‘Lily ChuChu’ mentioned that “celebrities must have a hard time living in Korea”. The user added that celebrities must be very anxious as “who knows if there’s going to be a CCTV camera in their bathroom where they shower and do their business”.
User ‘Objectivity’ comments that “even after events like this, stars have to treat their fans with a smile on their face”, saying it is “the crappy life of stars”.
On the other hand, some people thought it was harsh for Cho’s family to have reported the fan who broke in.
The Songpa Police Station revealed that Chinese fan ‘A’ (30, female) was arrested for breaking into Cho In-sung’s house and staying there even after Cho asked her to leave.
