BUSAN, July 26 (Korea Bizwire)The management office of the U.N. Memorial Cemetery in the southern port city of Busan said it will officially launch a virtual reality (VR) program and a real-time viewing function on the cemetery website on Friday.

The cemetery is for the fallen U.N. soldiers and war veterans who fought during the 1950-53 Korean War.

Developed in collaboration with the Busan city government, the VR program and real-time viewing function are currently in beta testing.

The VR content enables users to explore the cemetery using a PC or mobile device, virtually visiting individual graves and paying their tributes.

Each gravesite will have online floral tributes available, reflecting the cultural differences of each country.

For example, red poppies will represent the Commonwealth of Nations, red roses for Turkey, and white chrysanthemum flowers for other countries.

Additionally, the management office will broadcast views of the U.N. Memorial Cemetery in real time.

The live broadcast will allow users to check the blooming status of seasonal flowers on a real-time basis, serving as a useful tool for those who wish to pay their tributes and other citizens.
