WASHINGTON D.C., Sept. 19 (Korea Bizwire)If South Korea were to deploy a nuclear bomb, the B61 is the way to go according to a report from the Congressional Research Service.

The report recommends the B61 as the only option for deployment and outlines the various infrastructure and procedures that must be put in place for the deployment of nuclear weapons to be feasible.

A total of 180 B61s are currently deployed at NATO bases throughout Europe. One B61 is believed to have twenty times the destructive power of the atomic bomb that fell on Hiroshima.

The Congressional Research Service’s report also detailed the pros and cons for deployment, listing arguments like sending a stern response to North Korea in support and the likelihood of increasing the odds of an attack by a threatened North Korea in opposition.
