SEOUL, Feb. 11 (Korea Bizwire) — Specialized equipment from South Korea will be used to preserve Uzbek artifacts.
The Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) announced the opening of a preservation chamber at the State Museum of Cultural History of Uzbekistan, Samarkand on Tuesday (local time).
The chamber will help to preserve 230,000 artifacts owned by eight public museums in the Samarkand region.
The CHA sent preservation equipment including fine blasters and ultrasonic cleaners and newly made instruction booklets for preserving artifacts.
The booklets offer instructions on documenting, cleaning, and processing artifacts sorted by ceramics, iron, bronze, and stone.
