DAEJEON, Jan. 22 (Korea Bizwire) — Young South Koreans are pioneering the use of vacant land near expressways to start agricultural businesses.
The Korea Expressway Corp. (KEC) will distribute 3,800㎡ of land near Daejeon Southern Ring Expressway’s Annyeong Tollgate to student members of the Agricultural Startup Committee at Chungnam National University to develop agricultural startups.
The KEC also plans to distribute vacant land in Gongju, South Chungcheong Province and Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province for agricultural use.
“Students in horticultural science and plant resource studies now have the opportunity to try out a variety of creative ideas for agricultural startups,” said a Chungnam National University official.
