SEOUL, Feb. 14 (Korea Bizwire) — Butter and milk-free ‘vegan chocolate’ that contains no animal products is gaining attention this Valentine’s Day.
Makers of plant-based vegan chocolate, which is known to be less sweet than ordinary chocolate, are adding new ingredients such as oats, black beans, and chickpeas to overcome the bitter taste.
Consumers who have recently bought vegan chocolates say that the taste is improving and they are less discernable from ordinary chocolates.
Some consumers, however, said that vegan chocolates seem to melt more easily than ordinary chocolates.
