SEOUL, Aug. 9 (Korea Bizwire)A series of random stabbings in South Korea has given rise to the emergence of X (formerly known as Twitter) accounts and websites dedicated to gathering information on atrocious crimes and disseminating it.

The X account titled “Updates on Stabbings and Various Terror Guides,” created earlier this month, has amassed around 30,000 followers as of Monday.

The account regularly shares diverse information, encompassing news articles about online threats involving violent crimes, as well as scenes depicting police deployments.

It also facilitates the submission of tips through a KakaoTalk chat room.

Furthermore, a website named “Terrorless” has been inaugurated, presenting a map-oriented compilation of online threats related to violent crimes and data regarding arrests.

This website has been developed by a collective known as 01ab, comprising four university students.

They have articulated that the purpose behind launching the website is to shield citizens from being exposed to crimes that are pre-announced online.

Their ultimate aspiration is for the service to be eventually terminated, restoring the nation’s safety.
