SEOUL, Aug. 14 (Korea Bizwire) – On August 13, WeMB, a total business solution provider, announced that it launched a portal site for seniors called Senior Portal 50+ Seoul. Commissioned by the Seoul Metropolitan government, the site is designed, for the first time, for senior citizens, providing comprehensive lifestyle services.
It offers the following four services: providing information on job openings, giving opportunities to study online and providing information on senior citizens’ daily lives and hobbies available in senior centers across the city, and building a system for online communities and news covered by senior reporters.
The portal site will cater to the needs of seniors by offering a wide range of information and providing an arena for sharing their common interests and life stories. It will also draw the public’s attention on South Korea’s rapidly aging society.
“The site is an incredible tool for senior citizens preparing their second life,” Ha Yeong-tae, a Seoul Metropolitan government official, said. “It will be supported and reinforced to be a representative site like the AARP site of America,” he added.
