SEOUL, Oct. 19 (Korea Bizwire) – A survey on unmarried men revealed that the biggest fear about their marriage partner is whether she used to work for the sex industry. Meanwhile, the most cited worry for single women about their potential bridegroom is if he is still missing the former lover.

According to matchmaking service providers Bien-Aller and Only-You based on questionnaire on 534 single men and women, 34.5 percent of male respondents said they are afraid of meeting women with experience in working in adult entertainment establishments. It was then followed by experience of cohabitation (27.3%), unforgettable love affairs (22.1%), and mental trauma with a man (11.6%).

As for women, the biggest concern was what if they meet a man who can never forget his former lover (36.3%), followed by meeting a gigolo (31.1%), experience of cohabitation (21.3%), and mental trauma with a woman (11.3%).

The most welcome experience for women, meanwhile, was boot camp training (33.0%). Female respondents answered they prefer men with experience in overseas studies (28.8%). Cho Mi-hyun, marriage consultant with Bien-Aller, said, “Men’s experience in overseas studies is considered desirable by women as it signals the candidate’s earnings ability and employability. But men don’t want their women to have studied overseas as it is likely the woman is too much open about matters related to sex.”
