SEOUL, Korea, Jan 02 (Korea Bizwire) – The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and Korea Tourism Organization will hold a promotional event for about five weeks between January 2 and February 10 as a way to encourage tourism for the winter season. Anyone who recommends winter attractions on the site is eligible for a sweepstake in which the state-run organization gives away free gifts to 250 winners including 50,000-won (30 winners), 30,000-won (50), 20,000-won (70), and 10,000-won gift certificates (100).
Attractions featured on the site include the snow festivals in the Daegwan Pass, Mt. Taebaek, and Barae Peak in Namwon, as well as the Pyeongchang Trout Festival, the Pond Smelt Catching Event in Inje, and many other outdoor activities in cold weather.
