YANGJU, Korea, Jan. 13 (Korea Bizwire) – The Yangju Snow Festival 2015, a snow festival filled with art exhibitions and entertaining winter activities, started on January 9 at the Yangju Art Valley in Yangju, Gyeonggi-do, according to the festival’s organizer, CROWN-Haitai Confectionary Co. on January 12.
The festival was first held in 2014, and is now a signature winter festival for Gyeonggi-do. Visitors can fish on the ice or enjoy winter sports such as ice sledding and ice sliding.
CROWN-Haitai Confectionary Co. is planning to turn the festival into a national event, benchmarking Japan’s Sapporo Snow Festival and China’s Harbin Ice Festival.
