SEOUL, Feb.16 (Korea Bizwire)Woori Bank announced the launch of its ‘WiBee Quick Global Wiring’ service, which links with the WiBee Talk platform and provides benefits related to exchange rates and commissions.

Through WiBee Quick Global Wiring, clients can wire money directly to a foreign branch of Woori Bank without going through an intermediary bank, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.

When money is wired through the system, clients who send American dollars, Japanese yen, and euros overseas can take advantage of an exchange rate 50 percent more favorable than the going rate. Other currencies are offered a 30 percent benefit.

Within the limit of $2,000 per day, a total of up to $50,000 per year can be sent to 10 different countries.

The service offers non-account money transfers to Vietnam, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Nepal if recipient information such as name and wire address are known.

Through WiBee Talk, the person making the transfer can send the transfer information in foreign languages.

A ‘foreign currency giftcon’ service that allows users to present foreign currency to family and friends overseas was also launched.

Through the service, foreign currencies in amounts between $50 and $500 can be sent through SMS, WiBee Talk and Kakao Talk.
