SEOUL, Apr. 18 (Korea Bizwire) — The South Korean Ministry of Science and ICT is hosting the 2024 World IT Show from April 17 to 19 at the COEX exhibition center in Seoul, showcasing the latest information and communications technology (ICT) products and services.
The largest domestic ICT exhibition features 1,188 booths from 446 companies and organizations across 10 countries.
Major firms like Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, SK Telecom, KT, Kia, LG CNS, and Kakao have set up exhibits, alongside promising startups like JJNet, Little Cat, Graphene Square, EntreReality, and Skia which received innovation awards at CES 2024.
Under the theme “Innovation in Everyday Life, Created by AI” this year’s show highlights how AI is transforming everyday experiences through various displays.
Prominent business leaders will also give talks envisioning AI’s future impact across different sectors.
Naver Cloud’s Ha Jung-Woo, head of the AI Innovation Center, and Park Sung-Hyun, CEO of Rebellion, will deliver keynotes on the opening day.
The ImpaCT-ech Awards, recognizing pioneering digital convergence technologies, and the WIS Innovation Awards for promising startups were also presented.
Samsung Electronics received the Presidential Award at the ImpaCT-ech Awards for developing the world’s first 12nm 32Gb DDR5 DRAM.
Six companies, including Aetech, which created AI-based robotic waste-sorting technology, won the Minister of Science and ICT’s Award.
Four companies like FRT Robotics, showcasing wearable robots for strength assistance and musculoskeletal disease prevention, received the Minister’s Award at the WIS Innovation Awards.
