SEOUL, Aug. 29 (Korea Bizwire) — In celebration of the return of the South Korean girl group BLACKPINK, landmarks in major cities around the globe, including Seoul, Tokyo and New York have turned pink, its management agency said.
YG Entertainment said Sunday that it hosted the Light Up The Pink event that has lit up the world’s major landmarks in pink in celebration of the release of the group’s new album “Pink Venom.”
From N Seoul Tower on Mount Namsan in Seoul, the pink media façade spread to Japan’s Tokyo Tower, New York’s Brooklyn Bridge, the Santa Monica Pier’s Pacific Wheel in Los Angeles and Thailand’s Bangkok Central World.
“More than 50,000 fans from around the globe joined the social media posting event,” YG said. “Major media outlets like Billboard magazine and Japan’s TBS covered the event.”
