Worst Guests at Movie Theaters Are Those Who Spill Popcorn Everywhere

SEOUL, Feb. 10 (Korea Bizwire)It turns out that the worst film-goers in the movie theater are people who spill popcorn and nachos.

Albamon, a recruitment website for part-timers, surveyed 696 part-timers who worked at various movie theaters.

The results showed that 85.2 percent of the respondents said ‘yes’ when asked if they had experienced suffering from customers who caused inconvenience to others.

Among the worst customers, 42.5 percent said they disliked those who spilled too much food, including popcorn and nachos.

This was followed by 28.2 percent citing those who “laughed too loudly and didn’t care about their surroundings at all”, and 28.2 percent choosing people who “used their cell phones or let their phone ring while watching the movie”.

Next on the list was 23.9 percent of workers citing “customers who wanted to enter even though the movie already started.”

According to Albamon, 68.5 percent of the respondents said they were disappointed or had difficulties because they had a part-time job at a movie theater.

The reasons as to why they were disappointed varied.

Some 57.7 percent said it was due to “various types of people causing harm to others,” 33.3 percent chose “work that is harder than expected from cleaning to ticket issuance”, and 26 percent cited “managers’ frequent interference and instructions.”
