SEOUL, Dec. 19 (Korea Bizwire)A fan site dedicated to Yong Jun-hyung, a member of the Korean boy group Beast, made and sent 200 corn socks dolls to children in underdeveloped countries as part of Yong’s birthday celebration.

The corn socks dolls are dolls you can make from a craft kit produced by World Share, an NGO recognized by the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Once the dolls are crafted, World Share sends them to children affected by hunger and war around the globe.

Korean fan sites have increasingly been giving donations or participating in NGO activities to celebrate their stars’ birthdays, to show their love for their stars in a way that doesn’t involve fancy, expensive presents.

Yong’s fan site, named “The Joker” after Yong’s stage name, also chose to show their love by supporting the less fortunate around the world.
