ASTANA, Jun. 13 (Korea Bizwire) — President Yoon Suk Yeol was to head to Uzbekistan, the final leg of his Central Asia trip, after wrapping up a three-day state visit to Kazakhstan on Thursday.
Before departure, Yoon will meet with Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov to review the agenda items discussed during his summit with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, including the critical minerals partnership, the presidential office said.
Yoon will then fly to Uzbekistan, the last country of his three-nation Central Asia tour that took him to Turkmenistan earlier this week.
After arriving in Uzbekistan, Yoon plans to lay a wreath at the Independence Monument in the capital city of Tashkent and hold a dinner meeting with ethnic Koreans in the country.
On Friday, Yoon will hold a summit with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to discuss ways to expand bilateral economic ties.
