SEOUL, Nov. 16 (Korea Bizwire)Subscription sharing services, where customers can share subscriptions for some 10 video streaming platforms, are gaining popularity among younger consumers looking for more affordable ways to stream video content.

Subscription sharing service providers form groups of three or four customers each to share subscriptions.

Linkid offers sharing services not only for streaming services like Netflix and Disney+, but also for Microsoft’s Office 365.

The service allows users to share their account with others, or join another user’s shared account.

The 10,000 subscribers to Pickle Plus don’t have to wire subscription fees manually as the subscription sharing platform automatically calculates and processes payments for them.

Another service provider allows users to easily search for video content spread throughout multiple streaming platforms.

Kino Lights’ search engine allows users to type in the name of the film, director or actor to locate specific content on various streaming platforms.

Industry experts believe that the legality of subscription-sharing services remains in a gray area since there are no relevant restrictions available worldwide.
