SEOUL, Oct. 31 (Korea Bizwire) — Sales of zero-calorie drinks are on the rise in the post-pandemic era as more people from the younger generation look after their health.
Convenience store chain CU reported a more than 15-fold increase in sales of zero-calorie beverages this year compared to 2019, up by 112.5 percent from last year.
Among buyers, more than 60 percent in the last three years have been in their 20s and 30s.
GS25 also reported an almost sevenfold jump in sales of zero-calorie drinks this year compared to 2019, up by 71.1 percent from last year.
7-Eleven saw zero-calorie drink sales jump by ninefold this year compared to 2019, up by 45 percent from last year.
