Samsung Unveils Official PyeongChang Olympics App

SEOUL, Jan. 25 (Korea Bizwire) — Official Olympic partner Samsung Electronics unveiled the PyeongChang 2018 official application on Wednesday.

The useful mobile app named ‘Go PyeongChang’, which is available for Android and iOS, provides Olympic news and information on tickets, event schedules and stadiums to sports fans from around the world.

During the Winter Olympics, users can also check scoring records, information on athletes, and medal tables.

In addition, visitors to PyeongChang can receive information on tourism, accommodation and transport, and get push notifications for favorite countries and events.

The official 2018 Winter Olympics app is available in English, Chinese, Japanese, and French.

“To provide a more fun and convenient experience at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics for athletes and fans all over the world, we collaborated with the International Olympic Committee and the PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games to introduce the official app,” said Lee Yong-hee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing at Samsung Electronics.

Samsung has been releasing official Olympic apps since the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics.
