SEOUL, Oct. 22 (Korea Bizwire) — New business trends become widespread as they are introduced from all corners of the globe each year. Recently in the U.S. and the South American country of Brazil, the idea of “sheconomy” has been gaining prominence.
“Sheconomy” is a type of marketing strategy that targets women from product planning to launch.
Across the globe in Hong Kong, there is a coffee shop that allows coffee lovers to do their laundry while enjoying a cup of espresso.
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced yesterday it had published a book with a title that translates to “World Trends in 2019 that Will Excite Koreans.”
Through the book, KOTRA introduces the up and coming global business trends of today, one of which is “sheconomy.”
Having been published every year since 2011, the latest edition introduces case studies that have been collected by KOTRA’s expatriate employees working in 85 countries.
“Synergy Biz” is another hot trend that has been creating a buzz all over by combining two different services together.
Examples of such synergies would include a convenience store that doubles as a gym, and a coffee shop where customers can also do their laundry.
Another key trend that has become popular in Germany and Japan is “novel food” created from new food ingredients following unique processing methods.
“Match makers” that link various actors of supply with those in demand and “fast healing” products that provide relief and happiness in a short time span to busy people are also expected to become popular trends next year, according to KOTRA.
