SEOUL, March 31 (Korea Bizwire) — A large-scale artwork with an inscribed depiction of the Bible has been built in a cemetery in Yangpyeong County, Gyeonggi Province.
The artwork, made with stainless steel, is 83 meters wide and 7.7 meters high, with an inscription of 1,753 pages or 1.5 million letters of the Bible.
The artwork also comes with an audio system that allows visitors to listen to the highlight scriptures of the Bible in six different languages including English and French.
Jeon Byeong-sam, the former artistic director of the Cheongju Craft Biennale, designed the sculpture.
A separate “story wall” with an inscription of the list of contributors to making the artwork was also erected near the start of the “Bible Wall.”
The story wall and the ‘Bible Wall’ are more than 100 meters long.
