SEOUL, July 26 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korea’s top portal operator Naver Corp. said Tuesday it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with car-sharing and mobility service provider SOCAR Inc. to foster mutual cooperation for mobility service innovation using its hyperscale artificial intelligence (AI) platform, HyperCLOVA X.
According to the terms of the MOU, the two parties will engage in various collaborations based on HyperCLOVA X, which is scheduled to be released next month.
HyperCLOVA X, the latest edition of HyperCLOVA, which was launched in 2021, is able to combine users’ data with its AI predecessor and provide more suitable responses to users.
SOCAR plans to integrate its data with HyperCLOVA X to enhance the quality of its mobility services. This includes developing an AI-based customer response system and improving reservation and recommendation functions.
Utilizing AI and cloud technology, Naver aims to assist SOCAR in establishing a stable and efficient IT infrastructure.
Furthermore, Naver intends to enhance the usability of its services, such as Naver Map and Naver Travel, by integrating them with SOCAR’s mobility service.
