SEOUL, Sept. 4 (Korea Bizwire) – CJ Group announced on September 3 that it will gather 400 influential figures from the international art world for an event coinciding with the Frieze Seoul art fair.

The event, titled “CJ Night in Celebration of Frieze Seoul,” is scheduled for the evening of September 4 at the Leeum Museum of Art in Seoul’s Hannam-dong district.

This marks CJ Group’s second such gathering, following its inaugural event during Frieze Seoul’s debut in 2022.

The guest list boasts a diverse array of 400 attendees, including gallery owners, artists, curators, and professionals from the film and music industries.

Notable invitees include Marc Glimcher, CEO of Pace Gallery; Bettina Korek, CEO of Serpentine Galleries; Hans Ulrich Obrist, artistic director at Serpentine Galleries; and multimedia artist Alex Israel.

The event will also welcome renowned Korean film directors Choi Dong-hoon and Kim Sung-soo, as well as Jim Yong Kim, former president of the World Bank.

Miky Lee, vice chairwoman of CJ Group and a key figure behind the event, is expected to attend.

CJ Group intends to use this gathering as a platform to showcase K-food, K-content, and K-beauty to opinion leaders in the global cultural sphere.

This event aligns with CJ’s recent initiatives to promote Korean culture worldwide, including the company’s presence at the Paris Olympics’ Korea House, hosting KCON LA in July, and organizing the three-week CJ K-Festa in Vietnam in early August.

The company plans to solidify its image as a leader in K-culture through this event. Attendees will be introduced to various CJ brands such as Bibigo and Olive Young, as well as upcoming content like the film “I, the Executioner” and the tvN drama “Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born.”

K-food, centered around the Bibigo brand, will be prominently featured.

Culinary highlights will include dishes developed through CJ CheilJedang’s Korean chef cultivation project Cuisine.K, such as royal-style perilla seed tteokbokki and ssam vegetable rice.

The menu will also feature creative takes on traditional Korean street food using Bibigo’s strategic products.

A CJ representative stated, “We’ve been focusing on promoting K-culture globally through events like the Paris Olympics and KCON. This time, we aim to introduce K-culture to international cultural figures visiting Korea and instill expectations about CJ as the company leading this movement.”
