SEOUL, Dec. 25 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics announced plans to unveil its home heat pump system, “EHS” (Eco Heating System), at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, signaling a strategic entry into the U.S. HVAC market. The product, already available in over 40 European countries, is set to launch in the U.S. next year.
Designed for residential and commercial spaces, the EHS utilizes air heat and electricity to provide underfloor heating and hot water, offering higher efficiency and reduced carbon emissions compared to traditional fossil-fuel boilers.
Samsung will showcase two indoor units—the 200-liter tank-equipped “Climate Hub Mono” and the wall-mounted “Hydro Unit Mono”—alongside the “Mono R32 HT Quiet” outdoor unit.
Key features include a 7-inch touchscreen AI Home interface, 3D map-based indoor temperature controls, and compatibility with Samsung’s SmartThings app, allowing users to monitor solar energy usage when connected to PV modules.
The EHS units boast sleek designs for seamless integration with built-in furniture and versatile installation options for kitchens and utility spaces.
The outdoor unit is engineered for aesthetics and top-tier energy efficiency, exceeding SCOP A+++ ratings by 10% and utilizing R32 refrigerant, which has a 32% lower global warming potential (GWP) than conventional R410 refrigerants.
Capable of supplying hot water at up to 70°C and maintaining 100% heating performance in temperatures as low as -25°C, the EHS aims to cater to diverse climatic needs while delivering eco-friendly heating solutions.
“The EHS combines high performance, energy efficiency, and the convenience of AI Home and SmartThings for optimal energy management,” said Choi Hang-seok, Vice President of Samsung’s DA Business Division. “We are poised to make a significant impact in the U.S. HVAC market with this innovative product.”
The launch reflects Samsung’s commitment to sustainable technologies as it expands its footprint in key global markets.
