SEOUL, Sept. 24 (Korea Bizwire) — The Taekwondo Promotion Foundation is hosting a K-Stay Korean cultural experience program for foreign residents in the country through an online platform until December.
K-Stay was first launched last year as a three-day program consisting of five taekwondo and Korean calligraphy classes at the Taekwondowon Center in Muju County, North Jeolla Province.
Due to the continuing spread of the coronavirus, the foundation decided to hold the programs on contact-free online platforms for a continued cultural exchange between Koreans and foreigners.
The program includes basic self-defense classes, taekwondo gymnastic training, taekwondo tryout sessions and Korean cooking classes.
Participants will be provided with video courses and will be asked to turn in assignments online. Upon completion of the program, they will each receive a certificate of participation along with souvenirs.
A special prize will be given to the best participant with a chance to share his or her work.
Any foreign resident in Korea can sign up for the program. Applications are open until Oct. 23.
