SEOUL, Jan. 11 (Korea Bizwire) – Kia Motors Corp., South Korea’s second-biggest carmaker by sales, said it will launch a ‘K Delivery’ service that will allow its customers to receive car repair service on a non-face-to-face basis throughout the country from this moth.
Thus far, Kia has been running a door-to-door repair service, in which the carmaker picks up the car at a customer’s desired location and delivers it back to the customer after completing the repair work.
This service, however, has been limited to certain regions.
Kia teamed up with a professional car delivery service company to launch the K Delivery service, an upgraded version of the door-to-door repair service.
The K Delivery service will allow car owners across the country, including Jeju Island and remote and mountainous regions, to enjoy the car repair service on the basis of a non-face-to-face format.
Within 30 to 60 minutes of applying for the service, the customer’s car will be picked up by a professional delivery driver.
The customer can check who is responsible for the delivery of the car and where the car is located in real-time through the KakaoTalk messaging app.
