SEOUL, Feb. 19 (Korea Bizwire) — Hyundai Motor Group said Thursday that it has developed a next-generation Connected Car artificial intelligence (AI) voice recognition technology that allows drivers to easily control their cars with verbal commands.
This AI-based technology offers an upgraded Connected Car experience where drivers can verbally control their cars, adjust system settings, and search through car manuals.
The car’s internal system was designed to be compatible with voice recognition technology since its early stages of development, allowing drivers to use natural language to give voice commands.
For instance, if a lamp turns on in the car’s instrument cluster warning the driver of certain defects, the driver can press the voice recognition button and simply ask questions like when the engine oil should be replaced.
Other voice commands include, for instance, “change the mood lamp color to red”, “change the navigation voice,” and more.
The voice recognition technology will be launched on new cars later this year.
