SEOUL, Jan. 19 (Korea Bizwire) — Starting this year, anyone visiting the former presidential office Cheong Wa Dae in central Seoul will have free access to a shuttle bus leaving from Gyeongbok Palace.
The Cultural Heritage Administration announced Wednesday that the shuttle bus for Cheong Wa Dae will now be available to all Korean citizens, operating 12 times every day.
The shuttle bus was introduced on June last year, and was initially open only to seniors over 65 years of age, pregnant women, disabled persons and children under 8 years of age.
Last year, 49,820 people used the shuttle buses. Excluding Tuesday, when Cheong Wa Dae is closed, two shuttle buses will run for 1 hour and 30 minutes, in time for the exhibition hours.
Each bus will run every 15 minutes.
