SEOUL, Oct. 6 (Korea Bizwire) – Asiana Airlines announced on Thursday that it hosted a surprise event called ‘Handle with Love’ to raise public awareness about the protection of endangered animals. The event took place at the arrivals gate on the first floor of Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 the day before.
This event was conducted on the luggage conveyor belt for passengers traveling on Asiana Airlines flights from Singapore to Incheon (OZ754), Rome to Incheon (OZ562), and Sydney to Incheon (OZ2602).
Wooden boxes containing dolls representing endangered animals, such as the Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphin, Asiatic black bear, and sacred ibis were placed on the conveyor belt, accompanied by the sound of their cries.
By partially exposing the dolls outside the boxes, the airline created a scene resembling the actual transportation of the animals. Asiana Airlines plans to utilize the recorded event scenes for future advertising.
An official from Asiana Airlines stated, “We organized this event to introduce the stories of the animals we transported and to encourage public interest in endangered animals. We will continue our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives through various endeavors.”
