SEOUL, Jan. 29 (Korea Bizwire) — Seoul Fashion Week, South Korea’s biggest biannual fashion show, will kick off next week for a five-day run to showcase 21 Korean fashion houses, officials said Monday.
The fashion week for the 2024 fall-winter season will run from Thursday to next Monday at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in central Seoul and SFactory in the city’s Seongsu-dong district, city officials said.
This season’s runway will feature 21 Korean fashion designer brands, while a total of 68 local fashion houses will participate in the event’s trade fair, where 101 foreign buyers from 23 countries are expected to attend for potential purchasing deals.
The opening show, slated for Thursday at DDP, will feature Julycolumn, a women’s clothing brand by rising designer Park So-young.
K-pop girl band NewJeans will join the photo call ahead of the opening show to promote Seoul Fashion Week as honorary ambassadors. The show will be livestreamed on the event’s official YouTube channel.
