SEOUL, May 8 (Korea Bizwire) – Kia Motors unveiled the first teaser images and video for its highly anticipated EV3 on May 7, a compact electric SUV that aims to spearhead the mass adoption of electric vehicles and expand the company’s EV lineup.
The EV3 is Kia’s third dedicated electric model following the EV6, the brand’s first vehicle built on the E-GMP platform in 2021, and the EV9, a large electrified flagship SUV released in 2023. As a small SUV EV, the EV3 is poised to deliver a new customer experience in the era of electrified mobility.
Grounded in Kia’s design philosophy of “Opposites United,” the EV3 harmonizes rugged and geometric design elements, exuding a distinctive aesthetic. The front fascia features a futuristic “Star Map” signature lighting alongside vertical headlamps, projecting a bold and robust presence.
Along the sides, a dynamic roofline stretches low and long, blending seamlessly with the body to create a forward-looking impression. At the rear, a voluminous tailgate design imparts a sense of spaciousness, complemented by tail lamps resembling streaming airflow, adding a touch of dynamism.
Additionally, the teaser video released by Kia highlights the EV3′s sleek, future-oriented silhouette, emphasizing its innovative design elements.
Last year, Kia garnered significant global attention when it unveiled the EV3 concept at the Kia EV Day event.
The automaker plans to disclose detailed product information, including the EV3′s design, through an online world premiere video scheduled for release on May 23.
