SEOUL, Nov.18 (Korea Bizwire) – Dr. Chung’s Foods announced that it will be exporting 100,000 packs of eight different types of Vegemil soymilk, which are halal assured, to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The exports are the result of an agreement with 1004 Mart, the largest Korean supermarket in the Middle East. Prior to the agreement, the Vegemil products were certified as halal assured.
Eight products will be exported, including Vegemil A, Sweet Vegemil B, Black Bean Vegemil, Vegemil Almond and Walnut and Banana-flavored Vegemil.
After its deal with 1004 Mart, Dr. Chung’s Foods plans to expand sales of Vegemil to large local supermarkets, including Carrefour and Lulu Hyper Market. The company plans to sell two million packs of Vegemil over the next five years, with a target of more than $1 million in sales in the Middle Eastern market.
