SEOUL, Jan.21 (Korea Bizwire) – User-created content uploaded to Facebook, YouTube and blogs will be increasingly featured on Naver’s search engine.
Naver announced that it will apply a web collection method to gather information and provide the data in search results.
Prior to the new service, users had to apply themselves to add their content to the search results.
However, Naver made improvements to user-generated content tracking algorithms, and will display content in search results if a user manages their page well and keeps uploading quality content.
Through big data analysis, the system analyzes and predicts the preferences of users, sorting and selecting gathered information.
The expansion of services will be applied to all channels that produce web content, such as ordinary websites, cafes, blogs and SNS.
Users who want to their content to feature in search results can be provided with the service by inputting the URL of their page at Naver’s webmaster tool page (webmastertool.naver.com).
The webmaster tool provides various information such as the current status of the collection of sites or optimization of sites.
