SEOUL, April 13 (Korea Bizwire) – A new type of home appliance by LG Electronics that helps keep clothes fresh with steam is proving popular among South Korean consumers, with more than 100,000 units sold since its release, the company announced yesterday.
Compared to the first version released in 2015, the new LG Styler is 30 percent smaller, with enhanced features that were well received in the past including ones that keep trousers straight and remove fine dust from clothes.
Sales of the LG Styler have been increasing as of late as more people have discovered through the grapevine that the new appliance can help revolutionize ironing and the way we take care of our clothes.
During the first quarter of this year, an average of more than 10,000 models were sold every month, three times more than the figure from the same time last year.
The popularity of the LG Styler is unique in that the company’s promotion strategy for the home appliance took a different approach in the South Korea market. Rather than hiring celebrities, consumers are focusing on useful features of the product that could actually help their life in a way that was impossible before.
Increased sales are also thanks to demand from hotels and resorts, LG Electronics said.
With the LG Styler, you can freshen, sanitize and dry your clothes in as little as 20 minutes in the morning before work.
