DAEJEON, July 15 (Korea Bizwire) – The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea’s top science university, chose BMW’s i Vision Circular and Hyundai Motor Co.’s Trailer Drone as the Concept Car of the Year at the Future Mobility Awards 2022.
i Vision Circular comes with tires made with natural rubber that are designed to be easily recycled when scrapped.
The review committee, comprised of 16 journalists specializing in automobiles, assessed that BMW has shown an in-depth demonstration of a future eco-friendly vehicle.
Hyundai’s Trailer Drone is an eco-friendly self-driving truck, in which two unmanned vehicles carry a trailer for delivery from the port to the destination.
The vehicle was well accepted by the review panel for combining hydrogen fuel cells with full self-driving technology, showing an innovative blueprint for the distribution industry.
