SEOUL, South Korea, Oct 14 (Korea Bizwire) — Energizer Korea said on October 13 that its “Energizer Night Race 2013″ event was successfully held in the evening of the 12th at the Peace Plaza in Seoul’s Sangam World Cup Park with more than 10,000 participants. The fifth-year night marathon running festival began at 6:30 pm with 5-kilometer run participants starting first with their head lanterns on, which was followed at 7:30 by 10k runners.
Earlier on the same day, the company held promotional events such as the push-up contest, the 10,000-steps-a-day challenge, and a music concert featuring Geeks and Daybreak. Themed with a slogan “The world is brighter if you run together,” this year’s running event also included a tree-planting event, a used battery collecting campaign, and a used clothes donation drive.
Chae Hong, Energizer Korea president, said, “We are thankful that more than 10,000 citizens came to the park and were part of a campaign to clean up the environment for future generations. Next year, we hope more people could come out and enjoy the event with us.” Energizer Night Race 2013 was hosted by Energizer Korea and sponsored by Skechers Korea. The event will soon be aired on the MBC Sports Plus channel.
