SEOUL, March 27 (Korea Bizwire) — Seoul’s popular Bamdokkaebi Night Markets are back Friday after a winter hiatus.
The first lineup of night markets will open at Yeouido, Banpo and Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) on Friday, while two more markets will open the following day at Cheonggyecheon Stream and Plaza and Oil Tank Culture Park, the Seoul Metropolitan Government said on Tuesday.
The six night markets will have a distinctive concept of their own, along with a string of food trucks carefully selected by the city government to give each one a reason to visit.
Under the theme of an ‘international day trip’, mariachi and samba performances will be held to welcome visitors to Yeouido, while the market at Banpo will focus on arts, presenting a romantic atmosphere alongside beautiful fountains and great views, as well as classical, jazz and indie bands.
Last year, nearly 5 million people visited Seoul’s night markets.
