SEOUL, Mar. 6 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul Metropolitan Government warned online content producers who film homeless individuals to refrain from any further similar activities on Tuesday, citing a possible violation of portrait rights.
City authorities announced that if videos are filmed and distributed without the consent of the participants, the content creators could be punished for violating portrait rights.

Video footage of homeless people fighting after drinking alcohol can be found on both YouTube and AfreecaTV, a popular South Korean video sharing site.
The Seoul city government judges that such images, which were created to generate views, could dampen the will of most homeless people to find a new life.
