SEOUL, July 18 (Korea Bizwire) – For the first time among Internet portal service providers, Naver began providing stock quotes and corporate information of companies listed on the Korea New Exchange (KONEX) market.
KONEX is a stock market exclusively for small- and medium-sized companies to help them raise funds easily. So far KONEX market information has been made available to online day traders by securities firms in closed-to-public systems.
In its Finance section of the portal, Naver began providing stock quotes, related charts, overviews of the listed companies on the market through its KONEX page (http://finance.naver.com/sise/konex.nhn). To raise the level of stereoscopic analysis, Naver organized the page in ways it is possible for the user to check data in terms of current price, rate of increase/decline, trade volume, trade value, and market cap.
The page is accessible through both desktop computer and mobile devices so that the user can check market information anytime and anywhere.
Moreover, the largest Korean Internet portal established discussion rooms for investors to share their opinion and information. An official at Naver said, “By providing stock information on KONEX to investors, we hope the market becomes deeper and widely traded.”
Since the opening of the market on July 1 last year, a total of 57 companies have been listed on the KONEX market and more than 100 companies are expected to be listed within this year.
