YANGYANG, April 3 (Korea Bizwire)Yangyang, a Gangwon Province county on the east coast, has set up clock towers at three popular surfing destinations for visitors.

The towers will begin operation this month.

The clock towers are each five meters tall, with an LED screen on top that displays the current time. They will allow surfers and visitors alike to check the time at a glance from the beach.

In addition, a kiosk has been set up on the lower side of the tower to allow surfers to easily access information on the nine neighboring beaches that are famous among surfers.

The kiosk offers real-time video footage of each beach, as well as information on water temperature, wind, and waves. It also provides information on major tourist hotspots as well as various festivities in the Yangyang region for all visitors.
