YESAN, South Korea, Sep. 13 (Korea Bizwire) – There is a place called “Jiguyu” in Yesan, Chungnam Province in South Korea. “Jiguyu,” now Duksan Hot Springs, was considered as a sacred place on which a legend has it that a crane had landed and healed its broken leg for 4 days before it flew away.”
The 2014 Korea Hot Springs Festival is held around Duksan Hot Springs from October 2 through 5 with the slogan, “The healing of 1000 thousand years, Duksan Hot Springs soars up to the sky with healing and well-being.” This festival is captivating enough to draw public attention since not only is the venue known as the idyllic setting for relaxation and rejuvenation with beautiful mountains, fields, rivers, and lakes, but also it overflows with Korea’s traditional culture.
A handful of exciting events are ready to charm visitors. Some of the notable events with hot springs are riding a boat in hot springs, passing a healing and well-being tunnel, and applying a hot spring mask pack. Also a bike parade is scheduled to take place from the venue to new city Naepo in Chungnam so as to commemorate its 2nd anniversary.
Undoubtedly, this festival will be a hot spring tour for romance and healing, along with many other special events – a trot music contest, bubble soccer, a wireless car race, and a gourmet food tour with a bath in thermal mineral waters.
Governor Hwang Seon-bong of Yesan stated that “To take a hot spring bath soothes your body and mind. There is no doubt that this festival will be a chance to relax and heal your body and mind.”
