SEOUL, May 19 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korea’s two electronics giants — Samsung Electronics Co. and LG Electronics Inc. — are intensifying their competition in the beam projector market.
LG on Wednesday signed an agreement with Kim Caddie, a golf booking service platform. Based on the agreement, LG expects to supply LG ProBeam laser projectors for office-use to some 10,000 indoor, simulated screen golf clubs across the country.
Following its release in 2020, the LG ProBeam has helped the company triple its share of the business projector market.
The LG ProBeam Laser 4K can screen a 4K UHD resolution video on a 300-inch screen at a brightness of 5,000 ANSI lumens, providing an optimum screen golf environment.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics is releasing premium beam projectors to attract home cinema enthusiasts.
Samsung, jointly with Walker Hill Hotel and Resort, has come up with a special accommodation package where guests can try out Samsung’s premium beam projector The Premier in guestrooms.
The Premier can project on a screen of up to 130 inches and render 4K high-resolution videos.
The projector can screen at a brightness of 2,800 ANSI lumens, allowing users to watch videos in the daytime.
