SEOUL, June 1 (Korea Bizwire) — Foreigners studying Korean at King Sejong Institutes worldwide will be entitled to purchase train tickets between Incheon International Airport and Seoul Station at a discounted price.
The King Sejong Institute Foundation, a state-run Korean language education foundation, announced that it will offer a 15-percent discount coupon for some 400,000 members of the Online King Sejong Institute taking the Airport Railroad Express, with the purpose of promoting Korean tourism.
The foundation signed an agreement with the Airport Railroad Co. last year for the promotion of railway travel and Korean language education.
Both agencies expect that the new discount program will expand foreign demand for traveling to South Korea and promote the Online King Sejong Institute platform.
Members of the Online King Sejong Institute can purchase train tickets at a discounted rate via the website’s exclusive ticketing system.
“The new discount program will not only help the students and faculty traveling between Korea and overseas, but also help the tourism industry recovering from the pandemic,” the foundation said.
